Appam

                                    
Type - South Indian
Preparation Time - 30 mins
Cooking Time - 5 Mins
Serves - 10 -12 Appams
Served with Sambar Coconut Chutney / Tomato Chutney / Dhall Chutney / Brinjal Chutney

Ingredients:
Raw rice (Pacharisi) - 1 cup
Grated coconut - 1/2 cup
Poha (Aval) - 1/4 cup
Coconut water - As required
Salt - As required

Method:
One day before, Wash and soak the raw rice in water over night.
Next day, Drain the water and add it to a blender.
Move to blender and grind like a fine paste.
Take 1/2 cup of the batter and move to pan with 1 cup of water to it.
Now, cook on low heat until the mixture becomes thick like a rice paste.
Mix the rice paste with batter.
Now grind the grated coconut, Poha with coconut water.
Mix the poha batter with batter.
Move to bowl and keep for 8 to 10 hours for fermentation.
Now, Heat the appam pan and pour a laddle of batter.
Swirl the pan and spread the batter.
Cover and cook for 2 to 4 mins.
Serve and Enjoy with Sambar Coconut Chutney / Tomato Chutney / Dhall Chutney / Brinjal Chutney. :)
