Kuthiraivaali Upma

                                   
Kuthiraivaali (Barnyard Millet) is a nutrient-packed grain that you can use in many ways. It's rich in protein and excellent source of fiber. It helps on weightloss.

Preparation Time - 10 Mins
Cooking Time - 10 Mins
Serves - 3 Persons
Served with - Coconut Chutney / Tomato Chutney / Dhall Chutney / Brinjal Chutney

Ingredients:
Oil – 1 spoon
Barnyard (KuthiraiVaali) – 1 cup
Mustard Seeds (Kaduku) – 1/2 spoon
Urad dal (Ulundu Paruppu) – 1/2 spoon
Channa dal (Kadalai Paruppu) - 1 spoon
Curry leaves – 10 leaves
Onion – 2
Green Chilli - 3
Tomato - 1
Peas - 1/2 cup
Water – 2 cups
Salt - As required
Coriander leaves - A handful

Method:
First, In a bowl, Add Barnyard and wash well and keep aside.
In a pressure cooker, Add Oil, Mustard, Urad dal, Channa Dal, Curry leaves and fry.
Add the onions, Green Chilli, Tomato and fry well.
Add peas, Salt and stir well.
Add the Barnyard and water stir well.
Cover and sim cook for 15 mins or 1 whistle till it is cooked.
Let this cool a little.
Now stir well.
Served with - Coconut Chutney / Tomato Chutney / Dhall Chutney / Brinjal Chutney
