Ingredients:
Raw Idly Rice - 1/2 cup
Green Gram (Pachai Payaru) – 1/2 cup
Urad Dhall (Ulundam Paruppu) - 1/2 cup
Channa Dhall (Kadalai Paruppu) - 1/2 cup
Toor Dhall (Thuvaram paruppu) - 1/2 cup
Onion - 1
Cumin Seeds (Jeerakam) - 1/4 spoon
Red Chilli - 3
Salt - As required
Water - As required
Method:
In a vessel, Soak the Rice, Green Gram, Channa Dhall, Toor Dhall and Urad Dhall for 3 hours with water.
After 3 hours, Drain rice and dhalls, Add Cumin seeds, Red chilli and grind into smooth paste with some water and salt.
Add the chopped onion and mix well.
In a tawa and pour some batter and spread it thinly on the tawa.
Drizzle some oil and cook until light golden.
Flip on other side and cook.
Served with Coconut Chutney / Tomato Chutney / Dhall Chutney / Brinjal Chutney and enjoy. :)
