Beetroot Kola Balls


Type - South Indian
Preparation Time - 10 mins
Cooking Time - 10 Mins
Serves - 5 to 6 Pieces
Served with - Tomato Sauce (Recipe) / Mayonnaise / Coconut Chutney / Tomato Chutney . :)

Ingredients:
Fried Gram (Pottu kadalai) - 2 spoons
Saunf - 1/2 spoon
Pepper Seeds - 5
Cloves - 2
Cinnamon (Pattai) - 1/ 4 inch
Poppy Seeds (Kasakasa) - 1/4 spoon
Cashews - 3
Shredded Coconut - 1/4 cup
Shredded Beetroot - 1/4 cup
Salt - As required
Bread crumbs - 1/2 cup

Method:
In a pan, Add fried gram, Saunf, Pepper Seeds, Cloves, Cinnamon, Poppy seeds, Cashews and fry well.
Add Shredded Coconut and fry well.
Move the content to blender and grind well without water.
Now in bowl, Add Beetroot with salt and add the blended content and mix well.
Take a small piece of mix and shape like a ball.
In a bowl, Add 1 spoon of Corn flour and water, Mix like a paste and keep aside.
Dip the ball in corn flour batter nicely and roll in bread crumbs.
In a pan, Add oil and fry well until it turns golden colour.
Drain the oil.
Serve and Enjoy with Tomato Sauce (Recipe) / Mayonnaise / Coconut Chutney / Tomato Chutney . :)
