Cooking Time - 15 Mins
Serves - 2 - 3 Persons
Served with Puli Kojju / Pickle / Curd
Rice – 1 cup
Dhall – 1/2 cup
Oil – 2 spoon
Ghee – 1 spoon
Mustard Seeds (Kaduku) – 1 spoon
Cumin Seeds / Jeerakam – 1 spoon
Sambar Powder - 2 spoons
Red chillies – 4
Curry leaves - 10 leaves
Onion – 2
Garlic – 5
Tomato – 2
Salt - As required
Turmeric Powder (Manjal Podi) – 1 spoon
Water – 3.5 cups
Method:
In a bowl, Wash and soak rice and dhall for 30 mins.
In a pressure cooker, Add oil, Curry leaves, Mustard, Cumin and Red chilli.
Add the onions, Garlic, Tomatoes and mix well.
Add the salt, Turmeric, Sambar Powder and mix well.
Now, Add the drained rice and dhall.
Cook for 3 whistles and sim for 5 mins.
Turn off the heat and Keep aside until the steam goes off.
Serve and enjoy with Puli Kojju.
