Puli Gojju

                                             
Type - South Indian (Coimbatore Style)
Preparation Time - 5 mins
Cooking Time - 10 Mins
Serves - 2 - 3 Persons
Served with Arisi Paruppu Sadham

Ingredients:
Tamarind (Puli) - 1 Lemon Size
Oil - 1 spoon
Mustard (Kadugu) - 1 spoon
Curry Leaves - 10 Leaves
Shallots / Small Onion (Chinna Vengayam) - 10
Red Chilli Powder - 1/4 spoon
Red Chilli - 2
Asafoetida (Perungaya thool) - 1 pinch
Salt - As required
Country Jaggery (Nattu Sarkarai) / Sugar - 1/2 spoon

Method:
First, In a bowl, Add Tamarind with 1 cup of Hot water and Marinate for 10 mins.
After 10 mins, Squeeze the tamarind into water and extract the pulp and keep aside.
In a pan, Add Oil, Mustard, Curry Leaves Small Onion, Red Chilli, Salt and Fry it.
Now, Add the Red chilli powder and mix well.
Now, Add the tamarind pulp into it and mix well.
Add 1/2 cup of water into it.
Add Asafoetida into it.
Add Country Sugar into it.
Keep in low flame and boil for 5 to 8 mins.
Serve and enjoy with Arisi Paruppu Sadham. :)
