Ingredients:
For Grinding:
Oil – 1 spoon
Coriander - 1.5 spoon
Pepper - 15
Red Chilli - 3
Mustard Seeds (Kaduku) – 1 spoon
Shallots (Chinna Vengayam) – 15
Garlic - 5
Tomato – 1
Coconut - 1/4 cup
Curry Leaves - 10 leaves
For Gravy:
Black Seer Fish (Nei Meen) – 1/2 kg
Oil - 2 spoons
Mustard (Kadaku) - 1 spoon
Fenugreek (Vendhayam) - 1/4 spoon
Onion - 1
Curry Leaves - 10 leaves
Chilli Powder - 1/4 spoon
Coriander Powder - 1/2 spoon
Turmeric Powder - 1/4 spoon
Salt - As required
Water - 2 cups
Method:
In a kadai, Add oil, Onions, Garlic, Tomato, Coconut and fry well and keep aside.
Now, Add Coriander, Pepper and Red chilli and add with existing mix.
Grind the mix into masala and keep aside.
Now in kadai, Add the oil, Mustard seeds, Fenugreek, Onions and curry leaves and stir until it is golden brown.
Add the Chilli Powder, Turmeric Powder, Salt, Coriander Powder and mix well.
Add the grinded masala with water and cook till oil separates.
Add the fish pieces, Salt and mix well.
Keep in Sim for 8 to 10 mins till the fish is cooked completely.
Finally add the coriander leaves and stir.
Serve and enjoy. :)
