Ingredients:
To grind:
Coconut - 1/2 cup
Coriander Seeds (Malli) - 2 spoons
Pepper - 15
Red Chilli - 2
Fennel seeds (Sombu) - 1/2 spoon
Jeera - 1/2 spoon
Shallots - 8
Ginger - 1/2 inch
Poppy Seeds - 1/2 spoon
Salt - As required
For Kulambu:
White channa (Kondai kadalai) - 1 cup
Turmeric powder - 1 spoon
Chilli powder - 1 spoon
Coriander powder - 2 spoon
Garam masala powder - 1 spoon
Onion - 2
Tomato - 2
Curry leaves - 10 Leaves
Mustard seeds (kadugu) - 1 spoon
Oil - 2 tbsp
Coriander - A Handful
Salt to taste
Tamarind - Lemon Size
Method:
In a vessel, Soak channa over night and next day boil in cooker with salt and water.
In a bowl, Add the Tamarind with 1/2 tumbler of water and mix well.
In a pan, Add oil, Mustard, Curry leaves, Onions, Tomato until onion turns golden brown.
Add Turmeric powder, Chilli powder, Coriander powder and garam masala powder and fry for 5 mins.
Add channa with boiled water, Grinded Paste, Tamarind paste and boil for 15 to 20 mins.
Once Boiled add the Coriander leaves.
Serve and Enjoy. :)
