Ingredients:
Mutton – 1/2 kg
Turmeric Powder – 1 spoon
Onion – 2
Green chilli – 2
Ginger Garlic Paste – 2 spoon
Tomato – 3
Garam masala powder – 2 spoon
Chilli Powder – 1 spoon
Coriander Powder – 2 spoon
Cumin Powder – 2 spoon
Cashews – 10
Curry leaves - 20
Coriander leaves - 1/2 cup
Salt - As required
Water - As requied
For Seasoning:
Oil – 2 spoons
Ghee – 2 spoons
Cloves (Krambu) – 2
Fennel Seeds (Sombu) – 1 spoon
Cumin Seeds (Jeerakam) – 1 spoon
Cinnamon (Pattai) – 1
Cardamom (Yelakai) – 3
Method:
In a cooker, Add the mutton, Salt and turmeric powder and cook for 3 whistles and set aside.
Now in a bowl, Add cashews with water and soak for 60 mins. After that Blender into and puree.
In a pan, Add oil and ghee, All seasoning items and sizzle it.
Now, Add the onions, Curry leaves, Chillies and fry until golden brown.
Add the ginger garlic paste and fry nicely.
Add the grinded tomato and cook until oil separates.
Now Add the spice powders, Salt and stir well.
Add the cooked mutton with the water.
Add the grinded cashew paste and Sim cook for 20 mins.
Finally, Add the coriander leaves and mix well.
Serve and enjoy.
