Dhaba Chicken (Punjabi Special)


Ingredients

For Marination 
Chicken - 500 grams
Ginger-garlic paste - 1 spoon
Lemon juice - 1 Spoon
Salt - As required
Red chili powder - ½ spoon
Curd - 1/4 cup

Chicken Curry
Oil - 2 spoons
Bay leaves - 1
Cloves - 2
Black cardamom - 2
Cinnamon- small
Onions - 2
Tomatoes - 3
Ginger-garlic paste - 1 spoon
Turmeric - 1/2 spoon
Red chili powder (Milagai thool) - 1 spoon
Coriander powder (Malli thool) - 1 spoon
Cumin powder - 1/2 spoon
Garam Masala - 1/2 spoon
Salt - to taste
Water - 2 cups
Coriander leaves - 2 tbsp, finely chopped
Pepper Powder - 1/2 spoon
Basan Flour (Kadalai mavu) - 2 spoons
Oil - 1 spoon

Method
In a bowl, Add the marination Ingredients and Marinate the chicken for 30 mins.



In a Jar, Take 3 tomatoes, Grind as puree and keep aside.


In a pan, Add the oil, Cinnamon stick, Cardamoms, Red chilies, Cloves and bay leaves and saute

Add the chopped onions and saute until it turns golden.

Add the ginger-garlic paste and saute.

Add tomato puree and add Turmeric, Red chili powder, Coriander powder, Cumin Powder and Garam Masala.


Cook until oil separated out.

Now Add the marinated chicken, Water, Mix well and cook until it becomes thick and chicken cooked.


Finally add the basan flour and pepper powder and cook for 5 more mins.


Serve and enjoy.
