Simple Vegetable Kurma



Ingredients:
Carrot - 2
Beans - 10
Green Peas - 1/4 cup
Chilli Powder – 2 spoon
Turmeric Powder – 1 spoon
Garam Masala Powder – 1 spoon
Coriander leaves a handful chopped finely
Salt - As required
Oil – 2 spoon
Milk - 2 spoons

For Masala:
Onion – 2
Tomatoes – 2
Cumin Seeds (Jeerakam) – 1 spoon
Cardamom (Yelakkai) - 2
Cinnamon (Pattai) - 1
Star Anise (Annasi Poo) - 1
Green Chilli - 1
Ginger Paste - 1/2 spoon
Garlic - 5
Coconut - 1/4 cup
Poppy seeds (Kasakasa) - 1 spoon

Method:


In a pressure cooker, Add carrot, Beans and greens peas, Cook for 3 whistles and set aside.





In a pan, Add Oil, Cumin Seeds, Elaichi, Cinnamon, Star Anise, onions, Green Chilli and tomatoes and fry until it is mushy.

Now Add the ginger paste and garlic, Coconut and poppy seeds and cook well for 3 - 5 mins. 



Take it to Blender and grind to fine puree.

In the pan, Add oil, Cumin seeds, Garam Masala, Turmeric, Chilli powder, Salt.


Add the cooked veggies along with the water and stir well. Leave it for a boil of 2 mins.


Now add the grinded masala puree into it, Add the milk and cook for 10 mins.



Finally Garnish with some coriander leaves.

Serve and enjoy. :)
