Ingredients:
Urad dal (Ulundu) – 1 cup
Rice Flour (Arusi Mavu) – 1 spoon
Water - As required
Salt - 1 Pinch
Orange Food Colour - 1 Pinch
Oil (for Frying)
For Sugar Syrup:
Water – 1 cup
Sugar – 1 cup
Cardamom Powder – 1 spoon
Lemon Juice – 1 spoon
Orange Food Colour - pinch
Method:
In A bowl, Soak urad dal for 3 to 4 hours.
Then drain and blend with water like thick paste.
Add rice flour to it and Mix well.
Add salt and food colour and mix well.
In a pan, Mix sugar and water, heat and bring it to a boil, until it is sticky.
Add cardamom powder, Lemon juice, Food colour and mix well.
In a piping bag and cut a small hole in the tip and fill with the mixed batter.
In a kadai heat the oil, Parallely make jangri shape and fry till crispy on both sides.
Drain the oil for 10 seconds and add into the prepared sugar syrup. Soak both sides for 2 seconds and move to a vessel.
