Beetoot Thuvayal

                                     
Type - South Indian
Preparation Time - 10 mins
Cooking Time - 5 Mins
Serves - 2 Persons
Served with - Rice

Ingredients:
Oil - 2 spoons
Beetroot - 2
Chana dal - 2 spoons
Urad dal - 2 spoons
Red chillies - 3
Onion - 1/4 cup
Tamarind - 1/2 spoon
Salt - As required
Coconut - 1/4 cup
Water - As required

Method:
First, Clean and peel the outer skin of Beetroot and cut into peices and set aside.
In a pan, Add oil, Chana dal, Urad dal, red chillies, Tamarind and Saute on low flame for 2 mins without burnt. Once cooked, Move the dal and red chillies aside to a blender.
Again in pan, Add oil, Cut onion, Beetroot, Salt and fry for 2 to 3 mins until it is partially cooked.
Move the beetroot content to blender with dal.
Finally, add in the coconut and let the mixture gets cool.
Once cooled, Blend in mixie to a fine paste with adding less water.
Serve and enjoy with Rice. :)
