Fish Biriyani (using Coconut Milk)


Type - South Indian
Preparation Time - 10 mins
Cooking Time - 15 Mins
Serves for - 4 Persons
Served with - Onion Raitha

Ingredients:
For Fish Marination:
Fish - 200 gms (5 to 6 slices)
Chilli Powder - 1/4 spoon
Turmeric Powder - 1/4 spoon
Salt - 1/4 spoon

For Masala:
Garlic Paste - 1 spoon
Ginger Paste - 1 spoon
Coconut – 4 slices  
Green Chilli - 1
Red Chilli - 3

For Biriyani:
Ghee – 3 spoons
Cloves (Krambu) – 3
Elaichi - 1
Kasa Kasa - 1/2 spoon
Brinji Leaf - 2
Star Anise (Annasi Poo) - 1
Cinnamon (Pattai) – 1 small stick
Onion - 2
Tomato - 2
Basmati Rice – 1-1/2 cups
Green Chilli - 2 
Red Chilli Powder - 1 spoon
Mint Leaves - 1/2 cup
Coriander - 1/2 cup
Coconut Milk – 2.5 cup
Salt - As Required

Method:
Wash the Biriyani Rice in a bowl and add some water and keep aside.
In a Bowl, Add turmeric powder, Salt and Red Chilli powder with fish and mix well and keep aside.
In a Blender Jar, Masala Ingredients, Grind well with little water and Keep aside.
Heat the Cooker, Add Ghee, Cinnomon, Clove, Elaichi, Brinji Leaf, Kasa Kasa, Cutted onions, fry till it turns light golden.
Add the Salt, Tomatoes, Grinded Masala and stir well.
Add the Mint Leaves, Coriander leaves and stir well.
Add the Fish and mix well.
Add the Coconut Milk and mix well.
Add the rice and mix well.
Add the Ghee and Mix well and close the cooker, Sim cook for 10 mins till the rice is cooked.
Turn off and let it set for 10 mins.
Serve and Enjoy. :)
