Chettinadu Fish Fry


Type - South Indian
Preparation Time - 10 mins
Cooking Time - 10 Mins
Serves for - 2 Persons
Served with - Lemon, Onion, etc..

Ingredients:
Fish (Neymeen) – 5 slices
Oil – As required

Marinating Onion and Red Chilli Masala: 
Red Chilli - 3
Onion - 1/2
Curry Leaves - 5 to 10
Ginger Paste - 1/2 spoon
Garlic paste - 1 spoon
Salt - 1/2 spoon
Water - As required

Masala Powder:
Turmeric Powder (Manjal Thool) – 1 spoon
Coriander  – 1 spoon
Saunf - 1 spoon
Cumin Seeds (Jeerakam) - 1 spoon
Cloves (Krambu) - 4
Pepper Seeds – 10

Method:
In a blender, Mix all the marinating Onion and Red Chilli ingredients with little water and grind like paste.
In a pan, Add the masala powder ingredients and roast well for 5 mins.
Move to blender and grind as powder.
Mix the powder with paste well.
Spread the mix on top of fish slices well on both sides and marinate for 30 mins.
In a pan, Heat it nicely and place the fish over it. Now pour the oil on the edge of fish, Cook on a medium heat for 5 to 6 mins.
Flip the other side, Add oil on edge and cook on medium heat for 5 mins until it gets cooked.

Serve and enjoy. :)
