Simple Crab Masala


Ingredients:
For Grinding:
Poppy Seeds (Kasakasa) - 1/4 spoon
Black Pepper (Kuru Milagu) - 10 Nos
Shredded Coconut - 1/2 cup
Saunf (Sombu) - 1/4 spoon

For Masala:
Clove - 2
Cinnamon - 1/2 inch stick
Elaichi - 2
Onion - 1
Tomato – 2
Oil - 1 spoon
Curry leaves - 10 leaves
Ginger Garlic paste -1 spoon
Green chilli – 2
Coriander Powder - 1 spoon
Red chilli powder (Milagai Podi) – 1 spoon
Turmeric Powder (Manjal podi) - 1/2 spoon
Garam masala powder - 1 spoon
Coriander leaves - Half handful
Salt - As Required
Water - As Required

Method:

First grind the Poppy seeds, Pepper, Coconut and Saunf with little water and keep aside.

In a Kadai, Add Oil, Clove, Elaichi, Cinnamon, Tomato, Onion, Curry leaves and stir well until it is golden brown.





Add Ginger Garlic paste, Coriander powder, Turmeric, Garam Masala, Red chilli powder, Salt and saute nicely.
Let it cook for 2 min.


Add the coconut mix and add 1 cup of water.

Now add the cleaned Crab into it.

Close with Lid and cook for 15 mins.

Finally, Garnish with Coriander leaves.


Serve and enjoy.
