Spicy Chicken Pulav


Ingredients:
Oil – As required
Basmati Rice – 2 cups
Chicken – 1/2 kg
Coconut Milk – 1 cup
Ghee – 2 spoons
Cinnamon (Pattai) – 1 small piece
Cardamom (Elakkai) – 4
Cloves (Kirambu) – 3
Pandan Leaf (Biriyani Elai) – 1
Garam Masala Powder – 1 spoon
Onions – 2
Green Chillies – 5
Ginger Garlic Paste – 2 spoons
Tomatoes – 1
Coriander Leaves – 1/2 cup chopped
Mint Leaves – 1/2 cup chopped
Salt – As required
Water – As required

To Grind :
Saunf (Sombu) – 1 spoon
Pepper – 1/2 spoon

Method:
In a bowl, Soak basmati rice for 30 mins and set aside.




In a blender, Add Saunf and pepper, Grind like powder and set aside.




In a pressure cooker, Add oil and ghee, Cinnamon, Cardamom, Cloves and Pandan Leaf and fry it.




Add the onions, Green Chillies and saute until it turns golden.


Now, Add Ginger Garlic paste and fry.

Add the chicken, fry for 5 mins until it gets roasted .

Add the salt, Grinded Powder, Garam Masala, Tomatoes, Mint, Coriander and mix well.







Add the Coconut milk, Rice and water.







Cover and cook for 2 to 3 whistles. Set aside until heat reduces.



Serve and enjoy. :)
