Coconut Bun / Theengai Bun


Ingredients:
Shredded Coconut - 1/2 cup
Tutty Fruity - 1/2 cup
All Purpose Flour (Maida) – 2.5 cups
Instant Dry Yeast – 1/2 Spoon
Milk – 1 cup
Salt - 1/4 spoon
Sugar – 3 spoons
Oil - As required
Egg - 1

Method:
In a bowl, Mix the coconut, Tutty Fruity and Sugar and keep aside.



In a bowl, Add flour, Salt, Sugar, Yeast, Milk and dough well.

Cover and set aside for 1 hour, Till the dough is doubled in size.
After 1 hour, Take out and knead it again, Divide it into equal portions and make a smooth ball with each portion.






Roll the ball like roti and Place the Coconut mix into it.

Cover with one more roti and seal the edges by pressing.
Cover and set aside for 30 mins.
Preheat oven to 180 degree C.

Finally, Paint some egg on the balls.



Bake this in oven, for 20 mins until the top is golden.
Remove it and cool for 5 mins.




Serve and enjoy.
