Chicken Biriyani - Moghal Style



Ingredients
Chicken - 1/4 kg
Cinnamon - 1
Cardamom - 2
Cloves - 2
Onion - 2
Shallots (Sambar Onion) - 15
Ginger Garlic Paste - 2 spoon
Tomato - 2
Chilli Powder - 1/2 spoon
Garam Masala Powder - 1/2 spoon
Coriander Leaves - 1/4 cup
Mint Leaves - 1/4 cup
Curd - 3 spoon
Green Chillies - 2 slit
Lemon Juice - 2 spoon
Seeraga Samba Rice - 1.5 cups
Water - 2 cups
Coconut Oil - As required
Salt - As required

Roast & Grind: 
Cinnamon - 1
Cardamom - 2
Cloves - 2

Method
In a kadai, Take cinnamon, cardamom and cloves. in a mixer, powder it fine and keep aside.


 Grind the Shallots into puree.



In a cooker, Heat Coconut oil, Add the cinnamon, cloves and cardamom.






Add the onions, pureed shallots and mix well. Cook that till golden brown.

Add the ginger garlic paste and mix well.

Add the tomatoes and Cook that till mushy.


Add the chicken, Salt and mix well.


Add all the spice powders and stir well.
Add the water and bring it to a boil.


Cover and cook for 3 whistle till Chicken is cooked.




Add the curd, Green chillies and mix well.

Now add the rice, Coriander leaves, Mint leaves and mix well.




Cook for 10 mins. Add the lemon juice and mix well.

Sim and cook for 15 mins.
Remove and fluff the rice.



Serve and enjoy.
