Serves - 10 to 15 Pieces
Ingredients:
Gram Flour (Kadalai mavu) – 1 cup
Baking Soda – 1 pinch
Water – 1 cup
Sugar – 1 1/4 cup
Yellow Food Colour – a pinch
Cardamom Powder (Yelakai) – 1 spoon
Cloves – 1/2 spoon
Cashewnuts – 15
Dry Grapes – 20
Ghee – 1 tsp
Oil - As required for frying
Method:
In a bowl add gram flour, 1/2 cup of Water slowly and mix to a smooth batter.
Add the baking soda, Food colour and Mix well.
In a kadai, Heat oil for frying. Take a boondi karandi and Pour the mixed batter over the holes and spread it out. Now batter will fall drop by drop into oil and gets cooked.
Fry until it is soft and set aside.
In a Kadai, Add sugar and water, Cook well until it is melted and forms like syrup.
Add the cardamom powder, powdered cloves, Food colouring and mix well.
Add the boondis into sugar syrup.
Heat ghee in a small pan, Add cashews, Dry grapes and fry till it is light golden. Finally add the cloves and mix well.
Pour this over the boondi and Mix well.
Take a small quantity on the mix and shape it into ladoo.
Serve and Enjoy. :)
