Lady Finger Tamrind Gravy / Vendakkai Puli Kulambu

Preparation Time - 10 mins
Cooking Time - 10 Mins
Serves - 4 persons

Ingredients:
Oil – 4 spoon
Curry Leaves - 10 leaves
Mustard Seeds (Kaduku) – 1 spoon
Red Chillies – 4
Kadalai Paruppu – 1 spoon
Onion – 1/2 cup
Garlic – 5
Ladyfinger – 10
Tomato – 1
Tamarind pulp – 1/4 cup
Salt - As required
Jaggery – 1/2 spoon

For Grinding:
Oil – 1 spoon
Coconut – 1/2 cup
Red Chillies – 6
Coriander Seeds (Vara Malli) – 2 spoons

Method:
Heat the kadai and add oil, Coriander seeds, chillies and fry till it become golden colour.
Add the coconut and stir once. Put the mixture and grind to a paste.
Now add some oil in kadai and add mustard, curry leaves, urad dal and red chillies. Fry them nicely.
Add the Small onions, Garlic, Tomato, ladysfingers and fry them until it gets cooked nicely.
Add the salt, sugar and grinded mixture and Cook for 10 mins.
Add the tamarind pulp and 1/2 cup of water. Add little Jaggery for taste.
Bring it to a boil and switch off.
Serve and enjoy. :)
