Ingredients:
Basmati Rice – 1 cup
Chicken – 250 gram
Ghee – 1/2 cup
Cumin Seeds (Jeerakam) - 1/2 spoon
Cinnamon (Pattai) – 1 inch
Cardamom (Elakkai) – 2
Cloves (Kirambu) – 3
JathiPathri - 1
Biriyani Leaf - 1
Curd (Yogurt) – 1/4 cup
Onions – 1
Garlic Paste – 2 spoon
Coriander Leaves – 1 handful
Mint Leaves – 1 handful
Ginger Paste – 2 spoon
Tomatoes – 2
Dry Red Chillies – 5
Turmeric Powder - 1/4 spoon
Coriander Powder - 1/2 spoon
Salt - As required
Water - 3 cups
Method:
In a cooker heat ghee, Add Cumin Seeds, Cloves, Cardamom, Jathipathri, Biriyani leaf, Onion and fry until golden brown.
Add a tblspn of curd and fry for a min.
Add the garlic paste and fry for a min.
Add the chicken and fry for 10 mins till it is golden.
Add the coriander leaves and mint leaves and mix well.
Now add the onions and tomatoes and fry well for 2 mins.
Add the dry red chilli paste and mix well.
Add the Turmeric powder, Coriander Powder and Salt.
Add the curd, Water and mix well.
Wash and add the basmati rice.
Cover the cooker and leave for 2 to 3 whistles.
Once cooked, Open the cooker and fluff the rice with chicken.
Serve and enjoy. :)
