Mango Mathi Fish Gravy


Ingredients:
Fish (Mathi fish) – 1/2 kg
Raw Mango - 1
Drumstick - 1
Oil – 1 spoon
Mustard Seeds (Kaduku) – 1 spoon
Curry Leaves - 10 leaves
Onion – 1
Garlic Paste – 1 spoon
Ginger Paste – 1 spoon
Turmeric powder - 1/2 spoon
Chilli Powder - 1/2 spoon
Tomato – 1
Coriander Leaves – 2 spoon
Tamarind Pulp – 3 spoon

For Grinding:
Oil – 1 spoon
Fennel Seeds (Sombu) – 1 spoon
Small Onions – 15
Tomato – 1
Red Chilli (Vara Milagai) – 2
Dry Coriander Seeds – 1 spoon
Coconut – 1/2 cup
Water - 2 cups

Method:
In a bowl, Clean the fish, Add chilli powder and marinate.



In a kadai, Heat oil, Add the fennel seeds, onions and fry.



Add the garlic, tomatoes and fry well.

Add the Coconut and stir well. Grind the masala and keep aside.



Now in kadai, Add the oil, Mustard seeds, curry leaves and Onions. Stir until it is golden brown.



Add the Ginger paste, Garlic paste, Raw mango, Drumstick, Turmeric powder, Chilli powder. 





Add the grinded masala, Water and cook till oil separates.


Add the tamarind pulp, Salt and 2 cups of water and bring it to boil.



Add the fish pieces and mix well.
Keep in Sim for 8 to 10 mins till the fish is cooked completely.
Finally add the coriander leaves and stir.





Serve and enjoy.
